Andy Wesby and Marcos Valles of Parker House and Theory felt it was time to try something new. Teaming up with guitar genius, Sean Cronin, and producer/ bassist, Drew English, the foursome arranged, recorded, and self-produced their eleven track debut album. Wesby’s songs, originally written for Parker House’s next album, transformed radically with the EK members. Stepping out from behind the keys, Andy felt it was time to start singing lead. “Echo Kings” was released in July of 2010 to a sold out crowd at Great Scott in Boston and landed them  a show with Paramore. Only a month after their album release, Echo Kings were hit with tragedy when their manager and mentor died in a house fire. The boys decided to take some time and cancelled their national tour and radio appearances. Contracts and negotiations with their label dissolved and the band stepped away from the stage to allow the wounds to heal.

That’s how we find ourselves here… After a long hiatus Echo Kings has returned to the studio to finish their new album, “Before It’s Too Late,” which is expected to be released this July. The album is a tribute to their fallen friend and is an exciting continuation of the sounds and style Echo Kings had produced with their first album. The boys are also in the process of filming a number of music videos, vlogs, short films, and their new series of comedic webisodes, “EK TV”.  In meantime, Echo Kings, teamed up with a new bassist, Shon Gordon, and are playing their album to new audiences and clubs across the northeast.
